Presentation

From Ajaccio to the Gulf of Figari located north of Bonifacio, you will follow the West coast heading south towards Corsica.

A true paradise for kayakers, this coastline is a string of rounded rocks in pinkish hues, interrupted by white sand coves where swimming and exploring the seabed will be on the agenda.

We will do an average of 3 to 5 hours of kayaking per day, accompanied by occasional walks allowing us to appreciate the cultural and natural riches of the places visited (Genoese Towers, coastal path, encounters with locals…).

Restauration

Continental breakfast, then cold meal at noon and hot meal in the evening. Meals are prepared by the guide with the help of the whole group. Fresh vegetables, local products and varied menus are planned throughout the itinerant stay.

Guidance

State-certified guide. A true modern adventurer, they will be able to make you experience adventure through their passion.

The sea

We are on the west coast exposed to prevailing winds, but in the morning, the sea is most often flat calm. A breeze often forms around midday, so most of the navigation takes place in the morning.

Programmes are given as a guide. Unforeseen events are always possible and situations beyond our control may modify the course of events (weather, level of participants…). Our guides may thus be led to modify the itinerary depending on the weather or if the safety of the group requires it. In addition, on certain dates, the circuit may be done in reverse.

Equipments

Equipment provided:

Regulation sea kayak, approved buoyancy aid, spray deck, paddle, plastic waterproof bags, stoves, tarp in case of rain.

The kayaks we use are single and double kayaks in which all belongings are loaded in order to navigate in complete autonomy.

It is also recommended to bring waterproof bags suitable for your equipment (electronics, clothing and sleeping gear), as well as plastic bags (we provide waterproof bags for your equipment, but a «tear» can always happen, so plastic bags are an extra protection).

Although the kayak compartments are large, only take what is strictly necessary. Bulky items (clothing, sleeping bag and mattress) will be placed in the ends of the boats (front and rear tips), while heavy and dense objects (canned food, water) against the cockpit bulkheads.

Location

Welcome at 1pm at Ajaccio airport then transfer to the base for boat preparation.
